Skues, John

John died on 18 June 1989.

He was a School Prefect, Senior Sacristan and gained his Rugby and Hockey colours. He had a good academic record, gaining a Higher School Certificate, County Major Scholarship and entrance to Cambridge University. He was awarded a ‘Blue’ as goal-keeper in the university hockey team.

Following ordination, he worked in several parishes but most of his ministry was as a Hospital Chaplain. Two years ago ill health forced him to take early retirement from his job as Hospital Chaplain at Walsgrave in Warwickshire.

He was survived by his widow, Teresa, and his children.
