Maxwell, Brigid

Brigid taught at the Junior School for several years from 1955 and died from cancer at far too young an age. She will be remembered with affection by the many whom she nurtured through their first year in the Junior School.

In 1958 she married Harry Maxwell, who taught French in the Junior School. She was a keen sportswoman and always willing to take part in the various activities at the school. Her funeral was held at Alboume, where she and Harry lived while he was teaching at Hurst. There was a good congregation of family, friends and former colleagues. Later a memorial services was held in the Cathedral at Bury St Edmunds, where they lived in her later years. Tribute was paid to her by her brother to a large congregation.

She is survived by Harry, their three children and seven grandchildren.
