Peter died peacefully at home on 11 June 1999 after an illness bravely borne.
He was from a family with a long history of connections with Hurst. He is survived by his widow Caroline and his sons James and Nicholas, as well as to other members of his family. Over three hundred people attended his funeral at St Mary’s Church, Wimbledon Village … a fitting tribute to a real gentleman. Peter was a chartered accountant and a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Coopers. His great pastime was sailing: he was a qualified Yachtmaster.
