  1. My wife Lesley and I attended Nick Heath’s funeral in Gidleigh, Devon on Monday. His sons Jonathan and Matthew are both OJ’s, and Mr and Mrs Robin Perry were also there. Robin succeeded Nick as Head of Physics, and Reg Ruddock as Housemaster of Star. Nick started teaching at Hurst in Michaelmas Term 1951, the same time as Reg, and they always remained good friends. Nick was also my godfather. Esme prepared a biography of Nick which we received along with the service booklet. He led an amazingly full and varied life. Would you like me to forward this so that it can be included in the next OJ magazine? If so, please let me have a name and address, as I don’t have an electronic version of the document.

    David Ruddock.
